The Gentle Colour House – Residential Interior Concept

This project explores how colour can exist within a home as atmosphere rather than feature. Instead of contrast or focal statements, soft tonal variation is used to introduce warmth and familiarity while preserving spatial calm.
A traditional architectural shell — bay windows, ceiling mouldings and generous daylight — forms a quiet backdrop. Onto this, a restrained palette of sun-washed pastels is layered through joinery, textiles and furniture, allowing colour to support the space rather than dominate it.
Rooms are organised around everyday domestic rituals: gathering, dining, resting and cooking. Natural materials including oak, linen, plaster and woven fibres soften transitions between areas, while shifting daylight subtly alters the perception of tone throughout the day.
The intention is to create an interior that feels uplifting yet composed — a home defined by emotional warmth without visual noise, where architecture remains primary and colour acts as a gentle companion.
