Laurence Associates Deliver Future-Ready Depot
Laurence Associates is proud to have supported Smallridge Bros in the delivery of their new agricultural machinery depot on the outskirts of Truro. Purpose-built to enhance efficiency and customer service, the facility provides expanded capacity for future growth while offering improved accessibility for both staff and clients.
Smallridge Bros is a long-established, family-run John Deere dealer with over 40 years’ experience supplying machinery, servicing, and support across the Southwest. As demand for their services increased, the need for a modern, strategically located depot became a priority. Following an extensive site search, a location near the A30 was identified as the ideal setting, balancing excellent transport links with sensitivity to the surrounding landscape.
Working in close collaboration with Smallridge Bros, Laurence Associates led the planning, architectural, and landscape design process. Planning permission was successfully secured for a development that integrates functionality with strong design quality. The facility includes a spacious workshop, showroom, offices, and external storage, all arranged to streamline operations while presenting a professional and welcoming environment.
A complementary landscaping scheme ensures that the development sits cohesively within its rural setting, aligning with the company’s values and enhancing its brand identity. The result is a highly functional, future-ready depot that supports both operational needs and customer experience.
This project showcases Laurence Associates’ expertise in delivering tailored planning and design solutions that directly support business growth. The new depot marks an exciting milestone for Smallridge Bros, providing a robust foundation for their continued success across the region.
