Back in 2018, we were approached to design a bespoke replacement dwelling in the beautiful village of Newton Solney. Replacing a tired bungalow set between two others, our goal was to create a modern home that offered more space while fitting naturally within its surroundings.

The result? A one and a half-storey contemporary property, with symmetrical gables, a crisp slate roof, dark-framed windows, and composite cladding, the home feels modern yet timeless. The off-centre entrance features a striking angled window that wraps around the staircase – a unique architectural detail that adds character and individuality.

To the rear, large areas of glazing open the home to stunning countryside views – flooding the open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space with natural light. Upstairs, feature balconies make the most of the setting, offering a connection to the surrounding landscape.

Construction was completed in January 2021, and we’re delighted to see that this home has weathered beautifully, proving that thoughtful design really does stand the test of time.

Now recently listed on the market, it’s wonderful to see this property looking just as good as the day it was completed.
