Trevelver Farm, Camel Estuary A Project By: Laurence Associates Project Summary: Set within an exceptional position overlooking the Camel Estuary, Trevelver Farm is a long-term estate regeneration project that carefully balances heritage conservation with contemporary rural development – an approach increasingly recognised across the built environment. Working closely with the landowners, Laurence Associates has helped shape a comprehensive vision to diversify the historic farmstead, creating a sustainable future while celebrating its unique character and remarkable setting.   Project Detail: The masterplan reimagines the estate through a phased programme of sensitive restoration, conversion and new development. The proposals include a detached annexe to the Grade II* Listed Manor House, the conversion and extension of the existing barn and historic roundhouse, together with plans for a boutique hotel providing accommodation for seasonal visitors and shooting parties, supporting the continued diversification of the working estate – a theme echoed throughout the built environment. A key aspect of the scheme has been the enhancement of the wider landscape. Redundant agricultural buildings have been removed and overhead utility cables relocated underground, revealing uninterrupted views across the Camel Estuary and significantly improving the visual quality of the site.
