Balancing Homes and Habitats

As part of a recent planning application in Lancashire, we were commissioned to prepare a Landscape Layout, Planting Plan, and Landscape Management Plan for a proposed two high-end dwelling residential development. A central focus of the project was achieving the 10% Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) target now required in many developments.
Our approach combined thoughtful planting schemes that strengthened on-site habitat connectivity with the potential for supplementary planting on adjacent land. This strategy includes supporting and connecting with existing wildlife corridors, amplifying ecological value beyond the site boundary.
This project is a reminder of how thoughtful design and planning create spaces where communities and biodiversity thrive side by side.
