An Introduction to Colledge Architects Colledge Architects is a small architectural practice based in the Cotswolds village of Shipton-under -Wychwood. The practice specialises in residential architecture and the adaptation and conservation of historic buildings. The practice also enjoys producing considered contemporary designs within historic settings. Inspired by the local vernacular of the Cotswolds, traditional materials and the surrounding landscape, our work aims to create responsive, sustainable architecture which sits comfortably within its context and is a joy to inhabit. We work closely with clients to ensure each project reflects their vision, while drawing on the expertise of our trusted consultant network to deliver well-rounded, coordinated solutions. Director Matthew Colledge remains personally involved in every project, blending thoughtful design with a deep respect for heritage. As a RIBA Conservation Architect, Matthew is formally accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects for his specialist expertise in the care, repair, and adaptation of historic buildings.
