Now, thanks to a visionary renovation by Laurence Associates, this historic establishment has been transformed into a contemporary hospitality destination while preserving its quintessential charm. With sweeping views across the harbour, the redesigned hotel sets a new standard for coastal luxury, blending thoughtful architecture with modern functionality. The centrepiece of the renovation is a striking cantilevered restaurant and events space, featuring a fully glazed façade. This sweeping design captures uninterrupted vistas of Pendennis Headland, the harbour, and the village of Flushing beyond. The floor-to-ceiling glass creates an immersive dining experience, offering guests a seamless connection to the spectacular coastal scenery. Beyond the restaurant, Laurence Associates reimagined the hotel’s interior to optimise both functionality and guest experience. The project included: Conversion of underutilised areas into additional hotel bedrooms, expanding the hotel’s capacity. The removal of the under-croft parking area to make space for new guest rooms and administrative offices.
