Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery By: Wignall and Moore Studio Wignall and Moore were entrusted with a bold vision: to reimagine the Cornwall Museum and Art Gallery and breathe new life into one of the region’s most cherished landmarks. Our work transformed the Mineral Gallery, Heart of Cornwall, and Nature Galleries, and created a stunning new upper-level art gallery, showcasing the RIC’s spectacular collection to the public for the first time. Alongside this, we developed a visionary masterplan shaping the museum’s future and supporting ongoing funding applications. The result is a museum transformed. While the historic character of the original spaces remains, we’ve introduced immersive storytelling, dynamic lighting, innovative interactives, and cutting-edge installations. These enhancements have created a significantly elevated visitor experience, with improved accessibility, deeper engagement, and a stronger emotional connection to Cornwall’s heritage. The project’s impact has been nationally recognised: the Mineral Gallery was shortlisted for Permanent Exhibition of the Year at the Museum & Heritage Awards 2025 and named Winner of the 2025 Cornwall Heritage Awards for Innovation – a testament to design-led transformation.     We are proud to feature and promote in our architecture magazine: Cornwall Museum & Art Gallery reimagined by Wignall and Moore.
