Trinity College: A Legacy of Design Excellence

By: Original Field – Architecture & Landscape

We are delighted to share our recently completed project at @trinitycollegeox @oxford_uni.

The works included a new lift tower, refurbishment of the Dining Hall, Kitchen and Senior Common Room, and the conversion of student rooms into fellows’ accommodation. The project enhances accessibility across the College while carefully preserving its historic character.

Trinity’s Hall, with its layered history dating back to the 18th century, has been restored with sensitivity, using historically appropriate materials and contemporary design where needed. Timber from the College grounds was reused in the servery, continuing the site’s story and reinforcing its sense of place.

This project has been a true collaboration, involving the College, planners, consultants, contractors and craftspeople, whose commitment made this transformation possible.

We are also pleased that the Dining Hall & Kitchen project has been shortlisted for Best Legacy & Heritage Project of the Year at the @ukpropertyforums OxProp Awards 2025.

We are proud to feature and promote in architecture vogue magazine: Trinity College – a timeless blend of heritage and design
