Two new stunning eco-friendly houses – Hampstead By: Square Feet Architects Located in a secluded back lane behind Frognal and Arkwright Road in Hampstead, two newly completed eco-friendly houses exemplify a blend of contemporary design and environmental sensitivity. These homes were constructed within the back gardens of two large existing properties, thoughtfully designed to integrate with their surroundings and “dance between” the mature trees that characterise the area. With an emphasis on sustainability, quality, and cost efficiency, the project not only meets but exceeds current building regulations, creating homes that align with modern eco-conscious values. The houses were built using a super-insulated Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) prefabricated system. This approach allowed for exceptional thermal efficiency, reducing the homes’ overall energy demand and ensuring they remain warm in winter and cool in summer. The use of SIP panels offers a highly efficient and time-saving solution, reducing onsite construction time and minimising waste.
