One of our most distinctive international experiences has been our involvement in Tristan da Cunha, one of the most remote inhabited islands on the planet. Working in such isolated conditions requires adaptability, resilience, and a deep understanding of how to tailor designs to unique environmental and logistical constraints. Our work there demonstrates not only our technical capability but also our commitment to supporting communities wherever they may be.
In West Africa, our ongoing work in Benin has further strengthened our understanding of regional priorities, climate considerations, and cultural context. Through these projects, we have collaborated closely with local partners, ensuring that our contributions are both contextually appropriate and sustainably designed. These experiences continue to inform our approach to international collaboration and development-focused design.
Our connections across Europe also remain an important part of our practice. Through regular liaison with colleagues in France, we have developed strong cross-border partnerships that help us share knowledge, refine design methodologies, and participate in broader conversations about innovation within the built environment. These partnerships also support our ability to mobilise international teams quickly and efficiently whenever new opportunities arise.
Perhaps the most significant portion of our international portfolio lies in the Middle East, where we have been active for many years. Our team has played a key role in designing elements of the new metro system in Riyadh, contributing to one of the region’s most ambitious infrastructure projects. In Doha and across Qatar, we have also delivered a range of leisure buildings, each reflecting the region’s dynamic growth and appetite for world-class architecture and engineering.
Our long-standing presence and respected public profile in the region have led to our inclusion in the Middle East Design Advisory Group—a recognition of our expertise, leadership, and ongoing commitment to excellence. As part of this group, we help shape discussions around future development and provide strategic insight for schemes of regional and international significance.
