Galway Harbour interpretative Centre – Ireland By: Paul Treacy Architects Paul Treacy  Architects submitted an Architectural  concept for an RIAI  competition for an interpretative centre in Galway Harbour in Galway City , Ireland –  Paul was born and grew up in Galway so this project was social to him The Architectural concept originated from the analysis of a currach boat which is indigenous and iconic to the west of Ireland. Paul analysed and borrowed the geometric profiles of the currach hull geometry and unique profiles to create a very distinct and modern pavilion which sought to reference and projects the historical unique iconic profile and Geometry of the Irish Currach.
