Grade II Farm Eco Annex Project
Ash Tree Farm A Project By: Wotton Donoghue Architects Planning consent was granted for a new eco-annex set into a bank within the curtilage of a Grade II listed farmhouse. Following the initial planning approval and tendering process managed by others, WDA was appointed by the client to review the design and refine the annex’s footprint and positioning. This careful adjustment aimed to minimise disruption to the existing topography and embankment while respecting the site boundaries and preserving the farmhouse’s historic context. WDA subsequently progressed the project through Stage 4 technical design, producing detailed construction drawings and coordinating with consultants and suppliers to ensure a buildable, high-quality solution. Development is now approaching completion, with the eco-annex sensitively integrated into the landscape and responding to both environmental and heritage considerations. Now nearing completion, Ash Tree Farm stands as a refined example of contemporary rural design—an approach to heritage-led sustainability often celebrated within the pages of Architecture Vogue Magazine & Luxury Property Magazine.
