Designed as a clear contrast to the existing dwelling while remaining respectful of its scale and context, the project explores how texture, colour and precision construction can transform a domestic addition into a sculptural presence within the garden. The extension is conceived as a low, horizontal pavilion, defined by strong lines and deep overhangs that frame expansive areas of glazing. These overhangs are finished in a refined palette of gold and olive zinc, introducing warmth and subtle variation that shifts with changing light conditions throughout the day.
