Grade II Listed Survey Captures Every Detail

A Project By: Archidata

From historic architecture to the smallest electrical fitting, this survey captured an exceptional level of detail across the built environment.

We recently surveyed this distinctive Grade II listed building for a new interior design client, using our Trimble X7 laser scanner alongside our handheld Horizon scanner.

The completed package includes two detailed measured floor plans, four external elevations and separate electrical and lighting plans recording visible sockets, switches, lighting points and radiators throughout the property, the kind of precise data increasingly expected across the built environment.

Before the drawings were even finished, our client needed urgent dimensions from the ornate fireplace and chimney breast. Because we had captured a comprehensive 3D data set within the built environment, we could interrogate it and provide the measurements by return, allowing her design work to continue without delay.

The completed drawings were delivered yesterday, comfortably within our usual ten working day turnaround.

It has been a thoroughly enjoyable first project for a new client and we hope it will be the beginning of a long working relationship within the built environment.
