The Prince And Princess Of Wales Hospice
A Project By: Collabor8
Project Summary:
A project very close to my heart, originally commissioned during my time at a previous studio, and one that reflects how sensitive visual storytelling contributes to the built environment in meaningful ways.
This production focused on three exterior visuals for PPWH’s hospice, recreating the architects’ original images to a higher production standard while incorporating design changes that strengthen the connection between the building and the built environment it sits within.
Project Detail:
Working closely with the architect and landscape architect, I focused on capturing the warmth and materiality of the scheme, from the brick and bronze tones through to the carefully selected planting and tree species. A key part of the creative process was capturing the right feel and atmosphere within the built environment, encouraging the viewer to connect with the building and its design while sensitively reflecting the nature of the project as a hospice.
The project was delivered in two phases: first establishing the views and core materiality, followed by refining the visual style, compositions, landscaping and detailed post‑production to achieve the final look, ensuring the visuals sit authentically within the built environment and communicate the intended emotional tone.
