Super Vettura / Koenigsegg Car Showroom
A Project By: Paul Treacy Architects
Location: Sunningdale – Berkshire UK
Our design process:
Our Concept design work is defined by its focus on the quality of design process and an ability to establish an environment and clear process through which a robust concept can emerge and be interrogated and validated .
The design team conducts rigorous early research and interrogation to develop a strong understanding of the project’s programme, ambitions and context to expose the key issues and unique design opportunities of each project from the outset. We as part of our design process interrogated the potential aspirations for the super car showroom and the Designer also visited various high profile car showrooms to determine the appropriate approach and validate the concept .

The Architectural Concept was designed to generate a dynamic and vibrant but minimalist interior space where the “ Super car was and is the star “ .
The Unique Concept design was developed to evoke a museum like space where the cars were presented as highly engineered sculptural and artistic objects in a modern free flowing but very functional environment “ . The connecting organic shaped two storey atrium was central to our design concept which connected both levels and flooded the central car showroom space with natural light and provided visual connectivity between both levels of the showroom .
A feature central staircase and the centre feature piece – a dynamic unique circular car lift to transport the super cars between levels was placed in the heart of the space to showcase the super cars on a circular podium upon entry to the New super car Showroom .
