Are you an Architectural Technician with strong technical and building regulation knowledge? Join our well-established architectural practice, recognised for delivering high-quality residential, agricultural, and commercial projects across some of the South West’s most beautiful countryside locations.

We are looking for a motivated Architectural Technician to join our collaborative team. You will work on a diverse range of rural projects, including bespoke homes, conversions, agricultural and commercial buildings, as well as heritage and conservation schemes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Preparing architectural and technical drawings from concept through to construction
    • Producing planning application drawings and supporting documentation
    • Assisting with Building Regulations submissions and technical detailing
    • Undertaking measured building surveys
    • Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities
    • Supporting project delivery across multiple work stages
    • Conducting site visits across North Devon and the South West
    • Contributing to high-quality, sustainable, and context-sensitive rural design

What We’re Looking For:

  • Architectural Technician / Technologist with proven UK practice experience preferably in a small practice
    • Strong knowledge of Building Regulations
    • Experience across residential, rural, agricultural, or commercial projects
    • Excellent technical detailing and drawing skills
    • Proficiency in Revit is a necessity for a flying start (AutoCAD, SketchUp, D5 Render  advantageous)
    • Well-organised with strong attention to detail
    • Confident communicator with a proactive and collaborative approach
  • Ability to manage workload independently while working effectively within a team
