This project involved a collaboration between StratoPrint and Lifelift Design to create a tangible, high-quality 3D-printed model of an office interior layout. The original design was provided as a digital 3D render, which detailed an innovative office space intended to optimise functionality and aesthetic appeal. The challenge lay in translating this digital concept into a physical model that could be used effectively during client presentations.
The purpose of this model was twofold. Firstly, it aimed to give Lifelift Design a physical representation of their digital plans, significantly enhancing their ability to communicate the spatial dynamics and design nuances to clients and stakeholders. This tactile element allows clients to visualise and interact with the design more intimately, which is often less feasible with digital renders alone. Secondly, the model needed to be robust enough to endure the rigours of transportation between various presentation venues without deteriorating in appearance or structural integrity.
To achieve these goals, the project required meticulous attention to detail in both the planning and execution stages. Each aspect of the digital render needed to be carefully considered and accurately replicated in the model. This included the overall layout, individual furniture pieces, and the specific textures and colours envisioned by the architects. The transformation from a digital file to a 3D-printed model involved several technical challenges, including scaling the design to a manageable size while ensuring that no detail was lost in the process.
StratoPrint’s role was to ensure that all technical specifications, such as dimensions and material choices, were met with precision. The collaboration was highly dynamic, with ongoing consultations and adjustments being made as needed to align with Lifelift Design’s evolving requirements and vision. This project not only demonstrated StratoPrint’s technical expertise in 3D printing but also highlighted their ability to work closely with clients to bring complex designs to life in a tangible and meaningful way.

- Collaborative Review: Regular feedback loops with Lifelift Design ensured that any adjustments made during the modelling process aligned with their vision and requirements.

Results & Outcomes

- Durability & Quality: Despite the need for extensive supports during the printing process, especially around the intricate table design, the final product was both durable and met high-quality standards.
Additional Notes
The project posed certain challenges, particularly in removing the necessary supports for intricate components like the table. However, the StratoPrint team managed these challenges expertly, ensuring the final model was flawless and met all client expectations.
