Sweet Caroline: Modern Elegance, Timeless Calm
Sweet Caroline is a warm hug at the end of a long rainy day. Our design principles centred around soft furnishings, warm neutrals, and cosy summer tones. To ensure the home functioned seamlessly for a family of three, the shared spaces were curated to reflect the personality of each inhabitant while remaining welcoming to all. This was achieved through a thoughtful balance of found objects and bespoke elements, tying together a cohesive design language.
The renovation comprised a complete internal fit-out of this Queensway property, including the removal and installation of a new staircase that redefined the home’s circulation. Borrowed-light windows were also introduced to draw natural light into the lower level, allowing it to diffuse gently across surfaces and highlight key architectural details.
Care was given to the master suite, which extends across the entire top floor. Designed as an open-concept bedroom and ensuite, the space maximises usability while creating a tranquil sanctuary for home life after demanding days in the city.
On the first floor, a more playful palette was introduced for the home’s younger dwellers. There, soft pinks, greens, and blues were blended with floral patterns and textured finishes, evoking the freshness of a spring meadow and infusing the rooms with youthful energy.
Ultimately, Sweet Caroline is a celebration of balance between sophistication and play, tranquillity and vibrancy, individuality and cohesion. The result is a home that not only meets the practical needs of family life but also elevates the everyday into something joyful, grounding, and deeply personal.
