Taunton School Boarding Interior
WDA has played a key role in developing Taunton School’s Masterplan, working closely with the school’s leadership to create a clear and practical roadmap for long-term campus growth.
The process began with a detailed assessment of existing facilities, including surveys and consultations with staff and students, to identify priorities and challenges.
The resulting Masterplan outlined a series of phased projects, WDA are now currently at RIBA stage 5 of their new boarding facilities, with collaboration for FF&E design by Morleys, which will shortly be going out for tender.
The new boarding facilities form a central component, designed to enhance student experience, wellbeing, and community life.
The boarding house will provide a variety of accommodation options, including single and shared rooms, social and study spaces, and communal facilities, all carefully planned to foster interaction and personal development.
FF&E for the project is being provided by Morleys, ensuring high-quality, durable, and stylish furnishings that complement the design intent and create a welcoming, practical environment for boarders. (https://www.morleys.co.uk)
